I am 63 and my job is getting nastier and nastier. I have a 401k that is 60/40. Would it be crazy to: 1. Sell all my stocks and buy VCOBX Vanguard Core Bond Fund. 2. Then at 67 go back to 60/40 or even 70/30. Assuming I could get 4%, I could live off the interest until I could collect social security at 67. This just seems better than selling my bonds for 4 years. Added after: What is the difference between the above question and the below question? If you had to buy a house in 4 years. The house cost a million bucks and you had a million bucks. Would you invest that money in stocks or bonds?
